Here's another educational event from Green Mountain Neighbors...
Come join us at the Gilbert Hart Library (Klock Room) in Wallingford on Wednesday, August 26th, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, for an informative session on Advance Healthcare Directives.
An advance healthcare directive allows you to make your wishes known about what type of medical care you want to receive should you become terminally ill or permanently unconscious. It allows you to clarify all your medical wishes up front so that no misunderstandings occur when it is too late.
In preparation for this session, please click HERE to download an Advance Directive form from the Vermont Ethics Network that will help you design the care you want in case of health emergencies.
Our presenter will be Nicole DeNoyers, a community volunteer, death literacy educator, and University of Vermont-trained End-of-Life Doula serving southwestern Vermont and eastern New York. She is guided by the values of compassion, choice, and empowerment, and believes everyone deserves the knowledge to make informed choices about their own life and death.
